Grossglockner High Alpine Road Profile

The world’s most famous alpine road ends before the highlight of the Hohe Tauern National Park: the highest mountain and the largest glacier in Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798m) and the Pasterze. On the ascent from 1,500m to the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe you pass through all of the vegetation zones from cornfields to the eternal ice.
