Route Guide - Grossglockner High Alpine Road

Numerous display lecterns, six study trails and two information centres form a highly modern visual school of nature along the Glockner Road. You can learn here about what to look out for if you wish to experience high-alpine nature to the full.

For many guests, the trip to the highest mountain of Austria, the Grossglockner (3,798m), starts from the Salzburg direction, beginning through the Ferleiten pay entrance.

Guests coming from Carinthia over Heiligenblut towards Salzburg (Ferleiten), first pass Kasereck and Schöneck before they reach the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe.
