Glocknerkönig
07. June 2026Every year, hundreds of cycling enthusiasts compete in the Glocknerkönig, the legendary mountain race on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. The route leads through some of the most spectacular Alpine landscapes to the Fuscher Törl or the Edelweissspitze. A real highlight for athletes and spectators alike.
At this event, thousands of cyclists take on the challenge of the road: 28.9 km in length, gradients of up to 12 % and the finish at 2,571 m above sea level on the Edelweiss-Spitze.
Dedicated and highly trained road bikers or motivated hobby bikers - all those who want to conquer their inner beast are in the right place at this event!
Road closure between the Ferleiten ticket office - Fuscher Lacke incl. Edelweiss-Spitze 6:30 - 10:30 downhill, 7:00 - 10:30 uphill.
