Adventure Gerlos Alpine Road

The unique adventure road at the heart of Eastern Alps is open to traffic all year round from Gerlos in Tyrol and Krimml in Salzburg. When starting your journey in Salzburg’s Pinzgau, you’ll find the first adventure stage right at the beginning of the Gerlos Alpine Road. Europe’s largest waterfalls near Krimml plunge down an incredible 380 m. Visit the WasserWelten Krimml at the foot of the waterfalls and walk along the three cataracts on the waterfall path. Park your car or motorbike at car park 4 next to the WasserWelten Krimml. Continue up the mountain on the alpine road planned by Franz Wallack after this great experience. The architect of the Grossglockner High Alpine Road went all out here as well!
