The route for motorcyclists

Heaven for motorcyclists: the Gerlos Alpine Road

Top service for motorcyclists on the Krimml-Gerlos panoramic road

The Austrian Alps feature some great roads for motorcyclists. There’s a special highlight in store only a few kilometres from the Grossglockner High Alpine Road – the Gerlos Alpine Road leading from Krimml in the Pinzgau to Gerlos in Tyrol. The 12 km up to the pass summit are its centrepiece and invite you to enjoy a bikers’ ball: the gentle gradient of up to 9%, mild turns and straights, the views of the mountain landscape and the unique Krimml Waterfalls offer an all-around first-class driving experience. The Gerlos Alpine Road has been fully developed into a non-stop two-lane road, thus also offering maximum safety for motorcyclists. We ask you to kindly adjust your speed to the conditions and pay attention to other road users.
