NOCKALMHOF - Biosphere Reserve Center
Stop, step out, be amazed and enjoy: the Nockalmhof at an altitude of 1,700 m is the perfect address for a stopover during your excursion drive along the Nockalm Road. Located only 3 km from the Innerkrems pay desk, it is a comfy accommodation, exciting museum and ideal starting point for numerous hikes all at the same time.
The Nockalmhof was extensively modernised during the new construction of the biosphere park center. The exhibition in the new building and the dining area are connected by a glass cube and the apple-green floor runs through all areas with signs for the exhibition “Kärntens versteinerte Welten” (Eng. “Carinthia’s Fossilised Worlds”). The offer of the Biosphere Park Center was perfectly complemented with the gastronomy area and a shop.
