King of the Alps - Observing the ibexes

Ibexes are majestic animals. They fascinate with their size, their sure-footedness, their breathtaking jumps on rock faces or fights on exposed rocks. Observing an ibex at close range is one of the most unforgettable experiences in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
From 6th June to 5th September 2025, this easy hike in high alpine terrain takes place every Friday.
Meeting point:
- 7:00 AM at the Glocknerhaus on the Großglockner High Alpine Road
Equipment: sturdy footwear, warm, weatherproof clothing and a rucksack with a drink and snack, possibly hiking poles
Duration: approx. 2.5 hours, including 1.5 hours walking time (also suitable for children from 6 years old)
